Below are some free resources to get more technical experience:




Lynda has some interesting work on basic coding, helping people to understand how computer code makes computers do things.

Lynda lets you choose what language you’d like to learn more about, depending on individual interests.

Khan Academy has lots of information on basic internet functionality and core concepts that would be good for us social science folks to understand when trying to get closer to technical people working on these issues.

Cybrary is a free community where people, companies, and training come together to give everyone the ability to collaborate in an open source way that is revolutionizing the cyber security educational experience. They provide free video courses and guides to everything from COMPTIA to Malware Analysis and Reverse Engineering. This website is Cybersecurity-centric and will have almost all the resources you’ll need to for a cybersecurity career!
